Galvin la Chapelle “effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum”, is part of the Galvin Group of restaurants. La Chapelle is a high quality french restaurant & the connecting brasserie is Cafe a Vin. Located in the City at Spitalfields, it’s in a Grade II Listed Building and looks really grand, the Cafe a Vin is less formal and more buzzy.

We haven’t audited yet but the food is, according to TopTable

“special but unpretentious”

It’s got 1 Michelin Star, so I will be visiting! They tell us that it’s all flat inside and the disabled toilet is in the connecting brasserie.

A definite 2.5 BBS Ticks, and possibly 3 once we’ve gone there.
