Polpo is owned by the same people as Spuntino see review here and Lieutenant no 1 thinks they are hot and trendy at the moment. Each restaurant has a secret bar which is a “clandestine destination” but they are all in the basement with no wheelchair access, we assume. We haven’t audited these three restaurants – Soho, Smithfield and Covent Garden but here’s what they say about each of them.
The first Polpo is in Soho although it is spacious there is no disabled toilet.
We award a provisional 1.5 BBS Ticks
Polpo in Covent Garden is small inside and currently has an unaccessible disabled toilet which is behind a table which should be moved in a month. What?!?!
We award a provisional 2 BBS Ticks
Smithfield Polpo has a small ramp to get in, is spacious inside but has steps up to the disabled toilet. What?!?! We assume they’ll help?
We award a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks
