The Harwood Arms is a pub/restaurant that is a collaboration with Brett Graham from The Ledbury, one of my all time favourite restaurants. I and Lieutenant No.1 went after our exciting trip to the Vue Cinema between Xmas and New Year – see my post under ‘Events ‘ Menu for the full exciting story. We were late due to the problems at the cinema and I booked through the Harwood’s website and OpenTable – which was very stern with regard to bookings and lateness!!

We had a longer than expected taxi ride as we stupidly thought they were in Harwood Rd. in Fulham, not so they are in Walham Grove, Fulham. When we arrived we received a warm welcome which was good as we were quite stressed by then. They helped me in over the large step and had a table carefully chosen for me and the wheelchair. I had checked beforehand regarding disabled toilets and there are none due to lack of space but they did say they wanted to be inclusive and would try to accommodate them in the future. However, this would involve a major re-organisation of the layout. I really hope they do,as the atmosphere and feel of the the place was good. It also wasn’t overcrowded with tables, plenty of room to move!

The food was very British and along the lines of a cheaper Corrigan’s – See my previous review. Just as I did at Corrigan’s I had the sausages – not as refined but still very tasty. No.1 had the Brawn which was also very good , especially as he had fallen off his ‘vegan wagon’. Big time as it turned out – he followed this with a main course of beef!! I had the cod with shrimps. All very good.

We declined pudding but I did have a very good glass of Gruner Veltliner.

A great place if you can do without a disabled toilet for the night. I want to go back for the Quiz Night and the bar snacks which look promising. They get 2 Ticks out of 3.
