I have used the Bingham since it opened. This boutique hotel on Petersham Hill, Richmond has been refurbished to a high and modern standard. Unfortunately there are no disabled bedrooms but the Michelin Starred restaurant and the bar are both accessible. (The carpets are very plush in the bar and restaurant so stick users be aware!).

The food and service are exemplary but the part I love best is the bar which is comfortable and welcoming with great cocktails and snacks. I use it during the day after an arduous time shopping and in the evening when I want to impress. There are two disabled toilets no less, one on each level. They are clean, and maneuverability/accessibility is OK but the one upstairs could do with another perpendicular grab rail. There is a great view of the river from the terrace on the lower level and yes there is a lift.

The only problem I have is the pavement to the Bingham is treacherous and very bumpy. This is down to L.B. Richmond. So I would advise getting there by car or taxi. In conclusion a great venue for people with disability and style in Richmond.
