Went to Cafe Murano for a very good and reasonable set lunch. It’s part of Angela Hartnett’s empire whose Murano restaurant in Mayfair achieved the maximum 3 BBS Ticks. This cheaper version serves authentic Italian flavoured food in a smart but relaxed ambience. The service was excellent and very helpful. There are 2 steps to get in and no hand rail but they do provide a portable ramp.

2 Steps can be Negotiated With Very Helpful Staff & a Portable Ramp

There’s plenty of space at a round table in the lower part of the room where we sat and it’s next to a disabled toilet.

Enough Space for a Wheelchair in Lower half of Restaurant. Floor is Smooth, no Large Print Menus

BUT the door to the toilet could not accommodate the width of my modest wheelchair. Well equipped but can only be used by ambulant disabled. A real shame so they can only achieve 2 BBS Ticks for style and accessibility.

Good Hand Rails in Disabled Toilet, BUT……
