The Kingham Plough is so highly rated by critics it has to be reviewed even though access is dubious. AA Gill says
“The bar menu is as fine as any I’ve seen…anyone thinking of opening a local pub restaurant should come here and see the gold standard”
Certainly looks cosy & stylish but we can’t include the rooms as they’re not accessible. They’re all on the first floor via 20 stairs. There is a ground floor disabled toilet , there’s one step into the bar and four into the dining room. They do have disabled guests and they seem eager to help.
The bar seems the best bet and it’s menu includes Cornish Mussels with Smoked Bacon & Cider and Wild Mushroom Soup with Toast , both at £4.50 so reasonable for a snack. Main courses are about £14.
